Kristy Barton was born and raised in Southern Wisconsin. In middle school, her family moved out to Cheyenne, Wyoming. She lived out west until she left for college—University of Missouri (Mizzou). She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism and a Minor in History. Mizzou’s J-School is still touted as one of the best Journalism programs in the country.
Kristy started her Journalism career at a young age. While lifeguarding and teaching swimming lessons in both high school and college, Kristy managed the PR/Marketing needs for the Parks and Recreations Swim Department in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
After college, she freelanced for a bit until she landed her dream job in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the PR Director for an area Union for 18 years. While she was working for the Union, she embarked on many adventures. She started an in-house PR Department, staff of one. In the 1990s, there was still a stigma in many Unions that women couldn’t hold a higher position other than being a secretary. Kristy not only built the PR Department, she also developed and maintained a monthly magazine, created slogans that would eventually become trademarked, helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for numerous charities and organizations.
In January 2015, Kristy embarked on one of her craziest ideas to date, she started her own business: Sunshine Multimedia Consultants—a full-service PR/Marketing firm. The first year was really rough, but by year two, Kristy was making a name for herself throughout the community. In the last few years, she has won numerous awards including the Webster Groves/ Shrewsbury/ Rock Hill Area Chamber of Commerce Outstanding New Chamber Member, and back to back awards from the Small Business Monthly for being one of the Top 20 Best PR Firms in St. Louis.
Kristy’s business and home life are going extremely well. The addition of their adopted son, Jack, has been life-changing. Even though Jack’s not even one-years-old yet, the family of three feel like they’ve been together forever. Miracles can really happen. Jack is living proof.
Amy Baue is a Transformational Speaker and emerging thought leader focusing on heart and mindset connection. Ann Bauer is an attorney and founding partner of The Center for Family Law, whose attorneys focus their practice on family law matters. Services include mediation, collaborative law, and litigation.
Her belief is that the client and family lawyer should form a partnership and work together to try to achieve the client’s specific goals in a divorce.
Whether a client needs assistance in resolving issues through informal “kitchen table” negotiation with the spouse or the issues are going to be litigated, she emphasizes, “I want my clients to know that I am there for what they need and for the process that works best for them.”

Debbie Baumoel has been a certified coach for over nine years. Her certification is from the MacDonald Center for Obesity Prevention and Education (C.O.P.E.), with the Villanova University School of Nursing.
She has worked with over 500 clients and has also trained and supported other coaches all across the country. Together they have impacted the lives of thousands of people. She lost 80 lbs. over nine years ago and has been at a healthy weight since then. She has been a role model and inspiration to many people through her numerous speaking engagements for professional organizations and business development groups. She has been interviewed on radio shows, podcasts and television and has had magazine articles written about her health and wellness journey. She has been a trainer on nationwide webinars and courses, instructing others on healthy habits, nutrition and wellness.
As a business coach she has supported and trained other coaches and helped them create profitable businesses while offering this lifestyle program.
She graduated from Webster University with honors and a degree in Education, with an emphasis in Curriculum Design.
She has been married for 41 years to her husband Victor Paglisotti and together they have two wonderful children!

That’s the outside business side; her inner personal side is she is married for plus or minus 30 years. Her husband travels a lot; the actual time spent together is a lot less. Kim Carr is living her dream life every day as a small farmer, photographer, and aspiring author. Having been raised in the suburbs of St. Louis, Kim knew by the age of ten she would someday be a farmer after spending a summer on her grandparent’s farm. Kim obtained a degree in Animal Science and has had her farm for over thirty years. Here she is surrounded by an assortment of critters including Uncle Squid, a very vocal goose, three very big dogs, two little ones, and two cats that rule the roost.
Currently, Kim is combining her passion for writing and photography in a photo series featuring heritage breed farm animals. Many of these animals are in danger of extinction. Kim is visiting small Missouri farmers that are working to preserve rare breeds of livestock and poultry for future generations to come. Kim’s goal is to raise awareness that there are breeds of farm animals in need of protection from extinction, not just exotics. By tapping into her life experiences on the farm, Kim can shed light on a subject matter that gets little attention.

Patricia Eder has over 30 years of experience working in the world of consulting for healing and transformational projects encouraging individuals through capacity building and training. Her work is often for small non-profits, interior design projects and then eventually developing programs through her eight certifications in the Healing Arts.

Kerry K. Ghormley, CLTC is a specialist in Life and Health Insurance planning. Kerry’s personal experiences with most of the products she represents fuels her passion to help people. Dianne Graves is a founding partner, president, and mediator of Ball Graves Law and Mediation, L.L.C.. She brings a unique approach to mediation, leveraging her experience representing defendants at hundreds of employment and civil mediation cases. Dianne understands the pressures of meeting business objectives while balancing the needs of all parties. Meaghan Schaffer feels like she is living well when she’s creating something: cooking, writing, painting, gardening, and crafting…on second thought, she’s in Pinterest recovery after some epic fails, so not much of a crafter; not much of a gardener either, but is working on it—loves it. She also loves: thunderstorms, orange, salt, early mornings, dogs, the beach, and attempting yoga, but wouldn’t mind if the following were eradicated: lint, sage green, escalators, sunburns, power tools, and driving in the snow. Meaghan is working on being vulnerable out loud and dismantling her perfectionism while living in St. Louis (which she only began to fully appreciate after a short stint in California Wine Country—yes, really), with her husband and two pups. Meaghan’s life has been sweet and beautiful and a little bit brutal; she does her damndest to live in the light and respect the shadows; ever a work in progress.
Melissa Swank is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and the founder and owner of The Well Being STL, a wellness coaching small business based in St. Louis. She specializes in helping reduce stress and improve the quality of life for women who work outside and inside the home. As a health coach, she works with clients to help them improve the quality of their lives through goal setting, understanding themselves and their own needs, and positivity. Through her coaching program, clients set nutrition, physical activity, and positive self-care goals that they believe will improve their health outcomes and simultaneously reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases.
Melissa holds a Master’s degree in Epidemiology from Boston University School of Public Health and has spent nearly two decades working as a public health professional: in cancer research and childhood obesity. After years of working in policy and programming, she moved into directly providing health and wellness education to children and their families at The Magic House, St. Louis Children’s Museum. She strongly ascribes to the mentality of prioritizing prevention, encourages the development of healthy nutrition and physical activity habits for people of all ages, and believes in the power of gratitude to improve our well-being.
Her motto is simple: Eat well to feel well. Feel well to live well. Health is not just the absence of disease; rather, it’s enjoying each moment to its fullest as a Well Being.
Through the joyful chaos of her life, she finds balance through meditation and yoga and enjoys teaching at Yoga Six in St. Louis as a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. More than anything, she adores being a wife and mother to two vivacious, energetic, charismatic, and beautiful children.
Pam Wilson is a writer, licensed Master Social Worker and Book Coach.
Her Book Coaching with Davis Creative began in January 2017; she has successfully coached many authors to publication. She is also the Editor of the INNERgized Anthology published in October 2017, the Hear Her Now Anthology published in October 2018 as well as this anthology.
Pam is the Writing Instructor for the Cancer Support Community of St. Louis. Pam also writes a blog about her oh-so-interesting life where she puts her unique spin on everyday happenings and the journey of being human, the funny and the frustrating. Pam has raised two amazing kids over the last twenty-two years. She loves to bike, read, travel, dance, and hike with her dog. One day she hopes to live on or near a beach. Pam earned a Masters of Social Work from Washington University and B.S. in Child and Family Development from the University of Missouri at Columbia.

As a professional branding and author consultant, books and publishing have always been an integral part of Cathy’s life—from making them as a student in college, to working for a major book retailer after college, to collecting them for her personal library. A former board member of the St. Louis Publisher’s Association, she began introducing her clients to the power of self-publishing in 2005.
